Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated October 23, 2026
Draft for counsel review. Not legal advice.
The short version
If you turn on workouts, Shot Lab reads and writes fitness data so your rounds count toward your rings. That data is used only to run those features. We never sell it, never use it for ads, and only collect or share it with your consent.
This policy covers consumer health data as defined by Washington’s My Health My Data Act, Nevada SB 370 and Connecticut law. It applies to everyone, not only residents of those states.
What we collect
- Workouts you record with Shot Lab: duration, distance, steps, active calories and heart rate.
- Steps and heart rate read from Apple Health or Health Connect during a round, if you allow it.
- Badge progress built from that data, such as miles walked.
Where it comes from
From you, your watch and your phone’s health store, only after you grant permission in Apple Health or Health Connect and turn on “Record as a workout” in Shot Lab.
How we use it
To save rounds as workouts, show your round’s health summary, and award walking and fitness badges. Nothing else.
Sharing
We don’t sell consumer health data. We share it only with the service providers that store it for us, under contract, and only with your consent. Health data is never used for advertising, marketing or profiling.
Your rights
You can confirm whether we hold your health data, see it, delete it, and withdraw consent at any time: turn off workouts in Settings › Health, revoke access in Apple Health or Health Connect, or email privacy@shotlab.app. Turning it off stops collection immediately. Deleting your account removes it from our systems within 30 days. Data already written to Apple Health or Health Connect stays there, under your control.
Contact
privacy@shotlab.app. You can appeal any decision on a request by replying to our response; if we deny your appeal, you can contact your state attorney general.
