Playing your first round
Two or three discs are plenty to start: a putter, a midrange and a fairway driver.
Before you go
Two or three discs are plenty to start: a putter, a midrange and a fairway driver. Write your name and number on each one. Check the course’s local rules on the first tee sign for OB, mandos and drop zones.
Who throws when
Tee off in card order on the first hole, then lowest score on the last hole goes first. After the tee, whoever is farthest from the basket throws next. Stay behind the thrower and out of their line.
Etiquette
Wait until the group ahead is out of range before you throw, and shout “Fore” if a disc is heading for someone. Stay quiet and still while others throw, help look for lost discs, and let faster groups play through. Leave the course cleaner than you found it.
Keeping score
Count every throw, plus one for each penalty, like OB or a missed mando. Write scores down after every hole. Shot Lab keeps the whole card on one phone and works with no signal.
