MVP Volt flight numbers

The MVP Volt is a fairway driver with published flight numbers of 8 speed, 5 glide, −0.5 turn and 2 fade.

What the numbers say

• Speed 8. A fairway-speed disc that most players can throw to its numbers.
• Glide 5. Average glide.
• Turn −0.5. Some turn: it drifts right in the middle of the flight before it fades.
• Fade 2. Medium fade: it finishes with a clear curve left.

Put together, the numbers read as stable to overstable. Turn is shown as a negative number, so −3 turns more than −1, and a higher fade finishes harder to the left for a right-handed backhand. A left-handed thrower sees the mirror image.

These are the manufacturer’s published numbers. Plastic, weight, wear and your arm change how a disc flies. In Shot Lab you add the discs in your bag and Caddie learns how each one flies from your own throws. See every disc on the flight chart, or read how to read flight numbers.
